European Intellectual Property Teachers' Network (EIPTN)
The European Intellectual Property Teachers’ Network (EIPTN) brings together individuals from across Europe to exchange ideas on best practice and innovation in teaching and learning activities relating to intellectual property.
The EIPTN is interdisciplinary in focus, reflecting intellectual property teaching in a range of disciplines including law, politics, international relations, business studies, economics, computing science, engineering and physics.
The network and website are being coordinated by Duncan Matthews (Queen Mary, University of London).
Claire Howell was the host of the first EIPTN annual workshop at the University of Aston on 25 June 2007. Alison Firth was the host of the second EIPTN annual workshop at the University of Newcastle on 30 June 2008. Duncan Matthews was the host of the third EIPTN annual workshop at Queen Mary, University of London, on 20-21 July 2009. Adoración Pérez Troya was the host of the fourth EIPTN annual workshop at the University of Alcalá (Madrid) on 24-25 June 2010. Petra Žikovská organised the fifth EIPTN annual workshop at the Institute of Copyright Law, Industrial Property Rights and Competition Law, Faculty of Law, Charles University, Prague, on 27-28 June 2011. Laurent Manderieux will organise the sixth EIPTN annual workshop at the Law Department of Bocconi University, Milan, on 2-3 July 2012.
